Sexual health

Discreet and inclusive treatment

If you’re looking for help and advice on sexual health, we offer a discreet service in a warm, inclusive and welcoming environment.

We can all experience problems that affect our sex life and ability to enjoy sexual intimacy. That’s why we offer advice and counselling for sexual dysfunction issues – both physical and psychological – that can affect both male and female patients.

We also have treatment packages available for a wide range of STIs, including chlamydia and mycoplasma. Whether you’re starting a new relationship, or just want to protect your health, we always recommend regular STI screening as a matter of course.

If your infection is more complex and challenging, or if you have multiple infections, you may need expert support or ongoing treatment. If that’s the case, don’t worry; we can refer you quickly and discreetly to a private specialist sexual health clinic.

We also understand that these situations can feel intimidating for some, and we want to help you feel as comfortable as possible. If you would prefer to have someone with you during your examination, you are welcome to bring a chaperone with you, or we can provide one if you’d like us to.

Frequently asked questions

How quickly will I get my test results?

Our comprehensive STI tests have a maximum four-day turnaround, and we can phone or email your results to you if that’s easier for you.

For screening purposes, men must provide a first-pass urine sample (the first part of the stream) after at least three hours without passing urine.

For women, we’ll ask you to take a swab. If you are symptomatic, we’ll take samples as part of your examination.

We recommend retesting to see if you’re clear of STIs at or after four weeks, as earlier testing is likely to give inaccurate results.

For high-risk patients, we recommend testing for HIV and Hepatitis B and C. For these, we use the four-hour turnaround test, which has good reliability.

Do you offer contraception services?

We’re able to discuss your contraception choices and give you advice if you need it, but we don’t fit coils or implants in the clinic.
