In most cases, we’ll be able to give you a prompt diagnosis and a fast track to effective treatment. Some cases, however, are more complex and require another opinion or specific specialist treatments.

In those cases we’ll give you advice on the type of specialist you need, and direct, rapid access to the expertise of our extended network of world-leading consultants, clinics and healthcare professionals in a vast range of specialisms.

We can offer this access due to the close working relationships we have with these experts, but our advice is always focused on your needs and best medical practice. We want to help you to find the best consultant for you.

That means whatever your medical concern, book in for a consultation and we can refer you to the appropriate specialist – and even arrange same-day appointments should you need it.

To maintain safe clinical practice, we can’t offer you free advice over the telephone.

Frequently asked questions

No. As a private practice, we can’t refer within the NHS – only to private consultants and clinics. However, if you wish to discuss our recommendations with your NHS GP, we’d be more than happy to provide you with a letter detailing them.

We frequently refer to consultants specialising in cardiology, colorectal conditions, endocrinology, ENT, fertility, gastroenterology, gynaecology, oncology, psychology, sport and exercise medicine, urology, vascular conditions and many more. If you’d like more information, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Yes, we are. It’s good medical practice to obtain a GP’s referral letter before booking in to see a private consultant and many will only see patients who’ve been referred by their GP.

A referral letter can help to ensure that you’re seeing the right specialist and that they have a clear idea of your symptoms or challenges, so they can quickly help. This is a key part of Dr Tickle’s role as a Primary Care Physician and if you want to pay using medical insurance, a formal letter of referral is a requirement on most policies.

To get a referral letter, you’ll need to book in for a consultation so we can understand your concerns and direct you to the right specialist.

If you have a question you can’t see here, or if you’d like to talk to a member of the team, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’re here to help.
