GP appointments

Personalised care, wide-ranging expertise

With Dr Tickle you’ll have access to a GP service that goes above and beyond. That means expert treatment for a vast range of conditions, but it also means proactive, personalised care that puts your needs at the heart of our practice.

All consultations are flexible – we’ll work to what’s convenient for you. You’ll get a quick diagnosis and fast-access to comprehensive treatment where needed.

If your condition is more complex, then our collaborative approach to treatment means your health and wellbeing is in safe hands, with access to an incredible network of world-leading consultants and health professionals across all specialities.

Your GP appointment will typically be around 25 minutes. This gives us enough time to ensure that we’re getting a full picture of your needs, and you have the time and space to tell us everything you think we should know. Longer appointments are also available to discuss more complex problems and, as a new patient, you’ll always get 45 minutes for your initial consultation.

Access to this friendly and professional service couldn’t be simpler – email, phone or contact form, whatever’s easiest for you.

Frequently asked questions

Will I always see the same doctor?

We know how important continuity of care is to our patients, and so that’s what we guarantee. Even if we refer you to one of our consultant colleagues for specialised diagnosis and treatment, we’ll continue to oversee your medical care throughout your patient journey, so you’ll have a familiar – and friendly – face with you every step of the way.

Can I get a prescription remotely?

Registered patients can get a prescription without having to come into the surgery. Usually, you’ll be offered a phone consultation, after which you can either collect the prescription, have it posted to you, or sent via email to the pharmacy of your choice.

Existing patients can also request prescriptions via email. Simply contact us with details of the medication, dose and quantity required, and we’ll send the prescription direct to your pharmacy.

What information should I bring to my first appointment?

We’ll send you a simple registration form and medical questionnaire before your appointment, so we have all the relevant information before you arrive. If you're seeking help for an ongoing medical condition, we may ask you to bring any relevant test results or information on recent treatment you’ve had, plus details of any medication you’re currently taking.

Do you offer home visits?

We believe that home visits are an integral aspect of primary care. For that reason Dr Tickle can provide home visits, though it does depend on your location.

Get in touch to find out if we’re able to visit you at your home, hotel or place of work.
